Back in February, I asked if anyone would be interested in quilt blocks using your embroidery machine … and the response was overwhelming! Thank you all so much for your feedback and encouragement.
These quilt blocks are assembled in the hoop on your embroidery machine. They are meant to be used to create larger projects like placemats, table runners, wall hangings, pillow covers, quilt tops, etc. This project does not include any placement stitching for batting or quilting.

- It is meant to be stitched on tear away stabilizer.
- You can use regular embroidery thread or your favorite quilting thread.
- This is a stitch and flip method. You will be placing fabric down, stitching it, and then flipping it.
- This file includes finished block sizes: 3″, 4″, 5″, 6″, 8″, 9″, 10″.
- The design files are 1/2″ larger: 3.5″, 4.5″, 5.5″, 6.5″, 8.5″, 9.5″, 10.5″.
- All quilt block names are for the unfinished block size. The completed stitched design will be trimmed down to the larger 1/2 inch measurement. For example, the 4.5 inch design with be trimmed down to 4.5 inches. When assembled into a project, the finished block size will be 4 inches.
Each size comes with three (3) options for creating a cutting template:
- CUT file: SVG for use with a cutting machine.
- DL stitch file: die line to be stitched on heavy weight cut away stabilizer to use as a fabric cutting template.
- DL print PDF: die line to print and cut the template. Print at 100%, DO NOT scale.
This file includes finished block sizes: 3″, 4″, 5″, 6″, 8″, 9″, 10″.
